 Did you know that you can support breast cancer research by simply buying stamps at your local post office? The Breast Cancer Research Stamp, conceived by breast cancer surgeon Dr. Ernie Bodai, is the first-ever fundraising stamp issued by the United States Postal Service. It sells for 55 cents - 14 cents above the regular first class rate - and can be used as a regular stamp. The extra 11 cents is donated directly to the National Cancer Institute for breast cancer research. To date, $60 million has been donated for breast cancer research - one stamp at a time! |
